Sapra Copyright - background and motivation
NOTE: Sapra registered as a Interested and Affected Party against the Suppression Bill with the Office of the Premier, Mpumalanga, on 25 June 2007. The reference number P.15/5/15 was given to Sapra's documentation and submission as I&AP by the Office of the Premier, Mpumalanga Provincial Government.
In June and July 2007 the Executive of this Alliance drafted the following correspondence in response and objection to the draft Mpumalanga Witchcraft Suppression Bill:

This draft Mpumalanga Witchcraft Protection Bill was prepared by the South African Pagan Rights Alliance in consultation with the South African Pagan Council for consideration by the Office of the Premier: Mpumalanga, as a preferred alternative and replacement to the proposed Mpumalanga Witchcraft Suppression Bill (2007).
5. Document entitled: Appeal Minister JCD and SAHRC.doc
Dated 10 July 2007, this formal appeal for legislative transformation to the Witchcraft Suppression Act of 1957 was addressed to the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Ms. B.S. Mabandla, Deputy Minister Mr. JH de Lange, and the South African Human Rights Commission Western Cape Office - Legal Services.
6. Document entitled: Sapra on THO definition of witchcraft.doc
Dated 17 July 2007. Formal objection against the THO definition of Witchcraft submitted to The Traditional Healers Organisation, for attention the National Coordinator and THO Spokesperson, Phepsile Maseko.
In August and September 2007 the Executive of this Alliance forwarded some of this documentation to the press and to other Pagan I&AP's for the purposes of clarifying Sapra's position on the question of the Mpumalanga Witchcraft Suppression Bill and matters arising therefrom.
Sole Permission granted in writing
The South African Pagan Council (SAPC) has been given written permission to place Sapra's documentation on the website of the SAPC.
The Executive have personally placed some of this documentation on various appropriate Pagan websites and chat groups in an attempt to inform the general Pagan public about the Mpumalanga Witchcraft Suppression Bill and Sapra's position on its constitutional illegality.
SPECIAL NOTE:
At NO time did the Executive of this Alliance, in doing so, cede ownership of the Alliance's intellectual copyright over the content of said documentation.
No person or organization may claim ownership of Sapra's intellectual property.
Use of Sapra's intellectual property is granted on condition and only by full written approval of the Executive.
No person or organisation is entitled to USE without prior written permission granting conditional approval.
